Introducing Jim Benedict, new Director of Plant Operations

Aug 31, 2018 | Leadership, What's New

As we bid a fond farewell to Rick Pietila as he heads into retirement, we are excited to welcome new Director of Plant Operations Jim Benedict!

Jim comes to Milwaukee Catholic Home with over 16 years of experience working in plant operations in a senior care environment, including a regional director position where he oversaw multiple facilities and provided consultation to other leaders. He began his career in carpentry, having developed that craft over the past 30+ years.

“I’ve had a passion for senior care since I started working in it,” says Jim. “Everything for me is about customer service, taking care of the residents and staff and making sure everyone is as safe and happy as they can be.”

Jim notes that a sense of community sets Milwaukee Catholic Home apart, with residents, families, and staff all engaged and supporting one another. As he begins his work, he’s excited to get to know the people who are part of this community. “This a new chapter of my life! I love to learn about people and hear their stories,” he says. “That’s why you get into senior care.”

Jim resonates with the Milwaukee Catholic Home tagline, “A Call To Do More.” He says, “I’m somebody who loves to learn and teach. If you learn something new every day, you’re doing pretty good. There’s always a hunger there to learn more, and do more for people.”

He adds, “I’m really looking forward to continuing the great work that MCH has done throughout the years – being able to continue that, contribute my knowledge and expertise, and take plant operations to the next step.”

Welcome, Jim!
