Milwaukee Catholic Home to celebrate centennial with a day of festivities

Apr 26, 2013 | What's New

If you know Milwaukee Catholic Home, you know we love a party.  And why have just one party when you can have several?  We will be finding lots of ways to celebrate our centennial over the coming years, and are planning a very special day of celebration on June 28, 2013, the 100th anniversary of the signing of the organization’s Articles of Incorporation.

The daytime festivities will be held in the newly remodeled courtyard of the Health and Rehabilitation Center.   Milwaukee Catholic Home’s Recreation Therapy team will be working together with Cheryl Axelrod, creator of Goodwill Industries’ “Fashion Through the Decades” program, to create a collaborative “walk through time” incorporating fashion and MCH history. This fashion show and program will feature clothing from the last 100 years, including many items of vintage clothing donated by MCH residents, and will include fascinating stories of the people and events that shaped the history of Milwaukee Catholic Home.  This event will be perfect for all ages.

In the evening, MCH will host a gala reception and dinner in celebration of its centennial.  The evening will include live music on the patio, a raffle, and plenty of opportunity for fun and fellowship.  We hope you will join us for this very special opportunity to celebrate Milwaukee Catholic Home’s 100-year-old mission and our unique and lasting impact on the Milwaukee community.
