You may have read in the most recent issue of Focus that we have partnered with a community supported farm called Wild Ridge, located in Fredonia.  Community supported agriculture, or “CSA,” is a way for people to get closer to the food they eat. Members purchase shares in the CSA, becoming investors in the upfront costs of running the farm. They then reap the rewards in the form of a weekly box of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.

MCH is purchasing Wild Ridge Farm produce wholesale so we can incorporate fresh, naturally grown produce into the meals we serve. We’re also the pick-up site for members in the city of Milwaukee to pick up their shares.

The growing season is now under way, and we’ve been finding creative ways to use Wild Ridge produce with special entree or salad offerings every Wednesday.
