Walk with MCH to end Alzheimer’s!

Sep 18, 2014 | What's New

Picture1Milwaukee Catholic Home is a proud participant this year in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, a county-wide event sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association.  If you’re interested in joining our team of dedicated walkers on October 4th, please contact Linda Cardinale at (414) 220-3216.  For more information on the walk and the cause, please click on the logo to link to our team website.

In addition to participating in the walk, MCH is also offering a special opportunity to honor a loved one who struggles with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.  Stop by either of our reception desks to purchase a $5 flower to be displayed with your loved one’s name in our gallery.  All proceeds go to support the Walk.

The Friday before the walk, MCH will also continue its own tradition – the “Kids Walk for Memories.”  Our intergenerational partners at the Nurturing Nook Child Daycare will join us starting at 2:30 pm on Friday, October 3rd to walk around our campus in honor of their “grandfriends” with memory challenges.  This year, Girl Scout Troop 1894 will be joining us for this event as part of their work towards the Silver Star award.  Please join us in walking or cheering on our walkers!
