MCH is delighted to welcome Mike Brauer as our new Mission Advancement Officer.  Please take a moment to read his letter below introducing himself and his new role in the life of our community.

It is a privilege for me to formally join the Milwaukee Catholic Home family in the new position of Mission Advancement Officer. My consulting work here over the past 19 months has given me a glimpse into the wonderful community that I will formally become a part of on March 31st. I feel that I have been able to get to know MCH and some of the people who live and work here, and in some ways, they have gotten to know me a bit as well.

For those who do not know me, I am a Milwaukee native who attended Messmer High School and Marquette University. My wife of 26+ years is Maggi (Sankovitz) Brauer and we have four children. The three girls all graduated from Dominican High School and now attend Marquette. Our son is currently a junior at Dominican. My entire 29+ year career in fund development has been in and around Milwaukee mostly with Catholic institutions and I am eager to begin my work with MCH in a few weeks.

I see fund development work as a ministry. Walking with donors and potential donors is truly a privilege. By working together, we will explore areas of common interest and mutual benefit, we will creatively attempt to meet some needs at MCH, and we will insure that the legacy wishes of the donor are carried out.

I look forward to greeting you in the weeks and months ahead.

Mike
