John Cary is Milwaukee Catholic Home’s Fund Development Officer

Jul 7, 2020 | Leadership, What's New

Milwaukee Catholic Home is delighted to welcome John Cary as the newest member of our Leadership Team. John, president and chair of our Board of Directors, is Milwaukee Catholic Home’s Fund Development Officer.

Cary’s experience and commitment to the Milwaukee Catholic Home mission make him the perfect fit for this position; Cary was Executive Director of the MACC Fund, Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, for nearly 37 years before his retirement in 2018. The MACC Fund contributed over $63 million over these years for childhood cancer and blood disorder research.

“I have been fortunate to have a relationship with the Milwaukee Catholic Home for nearly a decade as a member of its Board of Directors” says Cary. “The Board shares the commitment of excellence of MCH’s Leadership which is so ably led by Dave Fulcher.  With this backdrop, I am excited to be part of the Mission Advancement Team working with Dave Fulcher, Caitlin Elftman and the rest of the dedicated staff at this time of growth and expansion.”

Cary’s new role is part of a Senior Management strategy to seek professional assistance for fundraising and development. With the assistance of other Leadership Team members, John’s work will include increasing giving through intentional and specific outreach, develop clear and compelling messages around the good work MCH is doing, create awareness of the new Trinity Woods campus, and implement a realistic, long-term fund development program with targets and a disciplined approach to raising money for ministry in service of older adults.

“I look forward to meeting the residents, staff, donors, and supporters. Their stories are part of the fabric of the rich history of the Milwaukee Catholic Home’s “Life Engaged” which is evolving and growing.” Cary further explains. “I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity to become a more active member of the Milwaukee Catholic Home family.”
