Milwaukee Catholic Home is a Life Plan Community offering Independent Living, RCAC, CBRF and Skilled care on the east side of Milwaukee. Milwaukee Catholic Home manages communities at School Sisters of Notre Dame in Elm Grove and at Queen of Peace in Burlington. In fall of 2021, Trinity Woods will open on the beautiful campus of Mount Mary University. Trinity Woods will be the future home of those sisters living in Elm Grove and offer independent living apartments with delicious meals, engaging programming and many amenities and services. Admissions Coordinator (full-time, Milwaukee): Coordinate and oversee the entire admissions process for residents of skilled nursing and the CBRF located in the Health Care Center. This position works closely with the campus wide sales team to have a working knowledge of the admissions process for residential and supportive living, providing support as needed. Bachelor’s degree in Administration and prior experience working in admissions is required. Two (2) years ’experience in long term care or acute care and MSW or O.T degree preferred.
Life Engagement Assistant (part-time, Milwaukee): Assist the Director of Life Engagement in implementing programs and events for our residents. Programs are resident-centric, outcome-oriented and designed to create meaningful, life-enriching experiences, contributing to whole person health and well-being. This position will attend to the overall wellness needs of our residents in wholistic way and be able to actively address immediate concerns that impact their well-being and satisfaction A high school education is required and a minimum of six (6) months’ experience preferred. Hours are 4:00 – 9:00pm and must be available on the weekends.
Housekeeper (full-time & part-time, Milwaukee): Responsible for the quality cleaning of resident apartments, offices, treatment areas, guest rooms, etc. within the facility. This position is first shift, hours are 6:30am – 3:00pm, including every other weekend. Must be Able to push/pull objects more than 50 pounds. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
Dishwasher/Utility Aide (part-time, Milwaukee): Perform cleaning and sanitizing functions for food service department. Scrape food from dirty dishes, wash pots, pans, and trays by hand; load dish machine, serve resident meals. Sweep and mop floors’ wash and workable walls, ceilings, refrigerators, and other equipment. Must be available every other weekend and evenings.
3rd Shift Security/Utility (full-time, Milwaukee): This individual assures the safety and security of the building and grounds and enforces and follows all department and security policies and procedures Provides minor maintenance services, housekeeping, reception and set-up services throughout the Milwaukee Catholic Home. Required to work
10-hour shifts: 10:00pm – 8:00am.
Bath Aide (in-house pool, Milwaukee): This position provides direct patient care to residents consistent with each resident’s comprehensive care plan and assessment. The primary focus is giving residents baths and showers as needed. Requires valid state of Wisconsin C.N.A certification and hours are flexible on 1st and 2nd shift.
Caregiver (part-time, Burlington, WI): Attends to the physical, nutritional, safety, social and emotional comfort of its religious order of men by providing direct patient care consistent with their comprehensive care plan and assessments. They work under the guidance and direction of an R.N to protect the rights and safety of residents and help the facility function smoothly, observe and collect data and perform all duties as assigned to provide care to residents. This position has housekeeping duties such as cleaning bedrooms, living areas and laundry. Must be available evenings and every other weekend. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
CBRF Certified Nursing Assistant (in-house pool, Milwaukee): Provide direct patient care to residents in the Assisted Living unit. Work under the guidance and direction of an L.P.N. to protect the rights and safety of residents and perform all duties as assigned. Requires valid State of Wisconsin C.N.A. license and CBRF training certification. Previous experience in assisted living preferred.
RCAC Aide (full-time & part-time, Milwaukee): Provides direct patient care to residents living in our independent living RCAC community. Services are consistent with each resident’s comprehensive care plan and assessment, and they will work under the guidance and direction of the RCAC Manager and Nurse to protect the rights and safety of residents. Requires CBRF Medication Administration.
Registered Nurse, AM Shift (full-time, Milwaukee): Provides general nursing care within the organization, utilizing the nursing process, philosophy and objectives of the facility and the Nursing Department within the scope of gerontological nursing. This position has a hands-on supervisor role every other weekend. Certified Nursing Assistant (Milwaukee & Elm Grove): Provide direct patient care to residents consistent with each resident’s comprehensive care plan and assessment. Requires valid state of Wisconsin C.N.A certification. Prior experience in skilled nursing facility is preferred. Positions also available at our facility in Elm Grove, WI; School Sisters of Notre Dame. CBRF Certified CNAs needed and strongly encouraged to apply. They work under the guidance and direction of an R.N. or L.P.N to protect the rights and safety of residents, help the unit function smoothly, observe and collect data, and perform all duties as assigned to provide care to residents. High school education or GED required and prior experience as a Caregiver in a long-term care facility preferred.
Lead Cook (full-time, Milwaukee): Responsible for the production of high-quality foods for staff and guests. The cook prepares and cooks/bakes food for the organization’s residents and employees by following standardized recipes. They ensure that food is tasty, attractive and at a proper temperature, discuss menus, supplies and utilization of leftovers with supervisor. The Lead Cook discusses menus, supplies and utilization of leftovers with supervisor. One (1) year experience cooking in a long-term care facility or restaurant setting. Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Apprenticeship or equivalent work experience preferred. Shift hours are 11:00am – 7:30pm, including every other weekend.
Food Service Server (part-time & LTE, Milwaukee & Elm Grove): Clean, prepare, and serve food to residents. Set up dining areas to ensure that required dishes, paper goods, and foods are assembled before the scheduled start of meal service. Clean, wash and/or sanitize all utensils, carts, equipment, and furniture after each meal or as needed. Assist in maintaining the dish room in a clean and orderly fashion. Previous customer service and serving experience required and must be available evenings, 4:00pm – 8:00pm and every other weekend.
