Milwaukee Catholic Home is a Life Plan Community offering Independent Living, RCAC, CBRF and Skilled care on the east side of Milwaukee. Milwaukee Catholic Home manages communities at School Sisters of Notre Dame in Elm Grove and at Queen of Peace in Burlington. In fall of 2021, Trinity Woods will open on the beautiful campus of Mount Mary University. Trinity Woods will be the future home of those sisters living in Elm Grove and offer independent living apartments with delicious meals, engaging programming and many amenities and services. Utility Worker (full-time & part-time, MCH & Trinity Woods): Work with other members of the Plant Operations Department to ensure that the buildings and grounds are clean, well maintained, safe and secure. Must be flexible working between our Milwaukee and our new facility Trinity Woods in Wauwatosa. High school diploma or equivalency required and a. at least one-year hands-on experience with floor care (vacuum, mopping, extraction of

Receptionist (full-time, Trinity Woods): Provides customer service functions at the front reception desk, including answering phone calls and directing callers, greeting and directing visitors and providing oversight of all residents, visitors, guests, volunteers.  The Front Desk Receptionist also functions as center of communication in the event of emergency. They will perform other functions as needed according to building/department needs. 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available. High school education required. Customer service or receptionist experience; preferably in a fast-paced environment utilizing a multi-line phone system preferred.

Life Engagement Assistant (in-house pool & part-time, MCH): Assist the Director of Life Engagement in implementing programs and events for our residents. Programs are resident-centric, outcome-oriented and designed to create meaningful, life-enriching experiences, contributing to whole person health and well-being. This position will attend to the overall wellness needs of our residents in wholistic way and be able to actively address immediate concerns that impact their well-being and satisfaction A high school education is required and a minimum of six (6) months’ experience preferred. Must be available on weekends.

Housekeeper/ Laundry Aide (full-time, MCH): Responsible for the quality cleaning of resident apartments, offices, treatment areas, guest rooms, etc. within the facility. Maintains good resident relations in providing visually acceptable linens and quality care of resident’s personal clothing. The good resident relations are maintained when clothing is returned in a timely manner and to the proper room or area. This position is first shift, hours are 6:30am – 3:00pm, including every other weekend. Must be Able to push/pull objects more than 50 pounds. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Talent Acquisition Leader (full-time, MCH): Hands-on role responsible for the recruiting operation for the entire organization with independent decision making and judgment that provides recruiting support and partnership by performing a wide variety of recruiting related functions. This role is responsible for the following functional areas: sourcing, recruiting, job board, social media, company website job postings, job fairs, college/university relationships, community and high school relationships establishing a proactive and robust talent acquisition experience for hiring managers, job seekers and applicants alike. The HR role will assist with other HR functions as required. Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience required. Bachelor’s degree &/or experience with search firm is preferred. 

Security/Utility 3rd Shift (full-time, MCH): This individual assures the safety and security of the building and grounds and enforces and follows all department and security policies and procedures Provides minor maintenance services, housekeeping, reception and set-up services throughout the Milwaukee Catholic Home. Required to work 10-hour shifts: 10:00pm – 8:00am.

Maintenance Technician (full-time, MCH): Works with other members of the Plant Operations Department to ensure that the buildings and grounds are well maintained, safe and secure. This position completes daily and routine maintenance work orders throughout the campus. Must be able to perform physical activity and be on feet for long periods of time and have hands-on experience of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry trades. Requires high school diploma or equivalency and excellent communication and customer service skills (verbal and written). Healthcare experience is a plus.

Bath Aide (in-house pool, MCH): This position provides direct patient care to residents consistent with each resident’s comprehensive care plan and assessment. The primary focus is giving residents baths and showers as needed. Requires valid state of Wisconsin C.N.A certification and hours are flexible on 1st and 2nd shift.

Caregiver (part-time, Burlington, WI): Attends to the physical, nutritional, safety, social and emotional comfort of its religious order of men by providing direct patient care consistent with their comprehensive care plan and assessments. They work under the guidance and direction of an R.N to protect the rights and safety of residents and help the facility function smoothly, observe and collect data and perform all duties as assigned to provide care to residents. This position has housekeeping duties such as cleaning bedrooms, living areas and laundry. Must be available evenings and every other weekend. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Cook (full-time, Burlington, WI): Prepare culinary delights for the Friars living at the Queen of Peace Friary and execute the menu, ensuring a high level of performance, Friar satisfaction and financial accountability. This position is responsible for the daily preparation of food in the kitchen, ordering and managing kitchen inventory. Associates degree from a two-year college or university in related fields of study; or five mor more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A state food license/sanitation certificate is required.

Life Engaged Program Associate (part-time, MCH): Assists the Resident Life Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and events for our residents. Programs are resident-centric, outcome-oriented and designed to create meaningful, life enriching experiences, contributing to whole person health and well-being. Requires a two-year or four-year college Associates or bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field. At least two years of experience in a related field and/or working with older adults preferred. This position requires working some evenings and weekends, per the program schedule.

CBRF Certified Nursing Assistant (full-time AM Shift & in-house pool, MCH): Provide direct patient care to residents in the Assisted Living unit. Work under the guidance and direction of an L.P.N. to protect the rights and safety of residents and perform all duties as assigned. Requires valid State of Wisconsin C.N.A. license and CBRF training certifications. Previous experience in assisted living preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (part-time & full-time, MCH): Provides general nursing care within the organization, utilizing the nursing process, philosophy and objectives of the facility and the Nursing Department within the scope of gerontological nursing. Requires valid state of Wisconsin LPN/RN license and prior long-term care experience. Bartender (part-time, MCH): Responsible for preparing beverages for our residence living in our independent RCAC building. Keep the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive customer service to our residents. Hours are 4:00 – 7:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

Caregiver (full-time & part-time, Trinity Woods): Provides direct patient care to residents consistent with each resident’s plan of care.  They work under the guidance and direction of an R.N. or L.P.N to protect the rights and safety of residents, help the unit function smoothly, observe and collect data, and perform all duties as assigned to provide care to residents. High school education or GED required and prior experience as a Caregiver in a long-term care facility preferred.

Food Service Server (part-time & full-time, MCH & Trinity Woods): Clean, prepare, and serve food to residents. Set up dining areas to ensure that required dishes, paper goods, and foods are assembled before the scheduled start of meal service. Clean, wash and/or sanitize all utensils, carts, equipment, and furniture after each meal or as needed. Assist in maintaining the dish room in a clean and orderly fashion. Previous customer service and serving experience require. Shifts are Monday through Saturday 4-8pm and Sundays 10-3pm, every other weekend and holiday required. Flexible scheduling available.

Lead Cook (full-time, MCH & Trinity Woods): Responsible for the production of high-quality foods for staff and guests. The cook prepares and cooks/bakes food for the organization’s residents and employees by following standardized recipes. They ensure that food is tasty, attractive and at a proper temperature, discuss menus, supplies and utilization of leftovers with supervisor. The Lead Cook discusses menus, supplies and utilization of leftovers with supervisor. One (1) year experience cooking in a long-term care facility or restaurant setting. Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Apprenticeship or equivalent work experience preferred. Shift hours are 11:00am – 7:30pm, including every other weekend.
