Recently at a local business near Dominican High School, two different generations found common ground.  Dominican students who sing in the school’s choirs joined residents of Milwaukee Catholic Home for conversation about significant memories.  They talked about studying music, their pet cats, and watching fireworks on the 4th of July.  Despite the many decades separating the students and residents in age, they found many things they shared.

This week, to celebrate their shared connections, MCH hosted the Dominican High School Choirs for a special afternoon concert focusing on the theme of memories.  The Generations of Memories event started with a special luncheon for residents, followed by the concert.  The choirs mixed contemporary choral pieces with well known hymns and classic sing-alongs, with residents and visiting family joining in.
