Activities
The goal of the recreation therapy department is to maximize the quality of life and independence for all those who live at Milwaukee Catholic Home. Residents of the Health and Rehabilitation Center can partake in many different recreational activities. Activities are adapted to each resident's abilities, allowing them to be successful and promoting necessary feelings of self worth. Activities may include crafts, baking and cooking, music therapy, games, live entertainment and exercise. Programs are offered to maintain and enhance cognitive, social, physical and spiritual functioning. Our staff is enhanced by the service of an Occupational Therapist, Recreation Therapists, an Art Therapist, and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Intergenerational
Residents have the opportunity to participate in activities with the children of CSM Children’s Center, located on the Milwaukee Catholic Home Campus. Group activities such as singing, baking, and gardening, bring two generations together. There are opportunities for both generations to build valuable relationships, as well as learn from each other.

Outings
Organized trips to museums, restaurants and other areas of interest are scheduled on Milwaukee Catholic Home’s bus.

Happy Hour
Happy hour is a weekly event which takes place each Friday and features beverages and appetizers.

Special Celebrations
Holidays are celebrated at Milwaukee Catholic Home with events that include resident family members.

Morning News
A group meets each morning to read and discuss the news of the day and the current events.
