Assisted Living Respite provides a short-term option for older adults who may need help with everyday tasks, while allowing them as much independence and freedom as they desire. Residents and their families experience peace of mind, knowing that a caregiver is always close at hand. Respite stays can range from a couple of days up to a month.

Respite residents of Milwaukee Catholic Home’s Assisted Living can receive assistance with dressing, bathing, taking medications and other daily tasks. A service plan is created for each individual and may provide up to 28 hours per week of personal care. Nursing and supportive staff are available 24 hours a day.

Creative recreation therapy staff plan varied activities throughout the day for socialization and entertainment. Three daily meals are served in a lovely dining room overlooking a beautifully landscaped courtyard.  Therapeutic services, including physical and occupational therapy are available with a doctor’s order.

Each furnished apartment contains a kitchenette, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and bench, an emergency pull-cord, telephone and cable television.
