Assisted Living
Growing older can pose a challenge to accomplishing life's daily tasks. Assisted Living at Milwaukee Catholic Home allows older adults to live on their own by offering assistance with dressing, bathing, taking medications and other daily activities.
Benevolent Care
Thanks to the generosity of friends, no one in our 91-year history has been asked to leave Milwaukee Catholic Home for financial reasons beyond their control. Donations benefit residents who, despite careful planning and savings throughout their lifetimes, need financial assistance due to extended illness or other circumstances.
We need your help now more than ever because so many older adults are cared for by our Health and Rehabilitation Center. Your contribution will help perpetuate this tradition of caring.
Fine Arts Fund
Your gift will help us offer residents a dynamic and innovative fine arts series focusing on poetry, music, art, theatre, lectures, travel, foreign languages and cultures, gourmet cooking and dance. Our Fine Arts Fund also funds our acclaimed Patio Pops Summer Concert series, and Ballroom Beats Winter Concert series featuring a variety of acclaimed musicians. Thank you for helping residents see, feel, touch and experience the world in new ways by supporting our fine arts series.
Generations Day Center
Older adults who rely on family members for care sometimes benefit from companionship and planned activities during daytime hours when family attends to other duties. We offer a friendly, homelike environment, enjoyable companionship, nutritious meals and entertaining activities. Because a child day care is located next door, the laughter of little children abounds when the children visit to bake, garden, sing or interact with the older adults.
Health and Rehabilitation Center
You can count on our Health and Rehabilitation Center which provides dedicated nursing care in a friendly home-like environment. Our state- of-the art center allows older adults to recuperate in privacy and get the rest and therapy needed to return home quickly. If need be, our beautiful center is home too many, offering loving attention by a qualified devoted team of caregivers.
Health Center Music Therapy
From the day we are born, we react to music. Music provides solace to the soul, calms and comforts the sick, and boosts immune systems. Our Special Care residents have benefited from the healing powers of music. We want to offer beneficial music therapy to all Health Center residents.
Library Program
Residents greatly enjoy the many books, magazines, newspapers, videos and tapes offered in our elegant library. If a resident is unable to go to the library, we bring the library to them. Our wonderful library also features magnifying machines and reading machines for the sight impaired.
Pastoral Care
Our pastoral care program is greatly cherished by our residents. Our chaplain and a pastoral care assistant are here each day to meet the spiritual needs of our residents, residents' families and staff. Our dedicated staff provides daily mass, individual counseling, and religious education, as well as celebrations of religious holidays. Milwaukee Catholic Home wouldn't be the same without our pastoral care program.
